Easter Collection

Posted by Jessica Richardson on

I've never felt more excited to share a collection than I do this one. Though, I have a feeling I'll be saying that about my next collection, but no matter! This one is absolutely delightful. I've brought to life so many things that have been swirling in my imagination for months or even years. And I'm so happy to share them with you now.

Here's a look at everything that'll be available on Evoke Supply Co. this Friday, April 1, at 12:00pm PT.

New Needle Book Designs

There will be 5 new needle book designs and a total of 8 books. This is my second time adding needle books to my shop. To my surprise, the first time they sold out in less than 5 minutes! So, If you are hoping to get one of these little books, be sure to set an alarm to get to my shop right at noon. If they do sell out quickly again, I'll be making more right away.

In case you aren't familiar with my needle books, here's a bit of information about them. I designed them myself. They are hand dyed and block printed with stamps I hand carved, or embroidered (like the moss and lichen adorned beauty on the left side). They are 90% hand sewn (I machine sew the covers together so that these seams are extra stable and uniformed). The pages are made of felt, with details attached to them that make organizing and storing your needles easy and fun.

These tiny books are a labor of love to make. Each one a bit different, truly an heirloom. I'm honored that others find them as special as I do.

Lichen

I adore lichen. My love for this plant/fungi/algae symbiotic community knows no bounds. That's why years ago I created a lichen rubber stamp. That stamp design is what I used to create these lichen themed items.

I'll have lichen keychains, lichen pins (in 2 sizes), lichen stickers and mini woodgrain travel sketchbooks adorned with lichen charms.

The wooden charms and pins are laser cut, then hand painted by me.

Stickers

I have wanted to make stickers for years, and have had a few designs in the works for just as long! These are all vinyl and waterproof. The log is on a clear backing to help all the little fern and mushroom details stand out.

These 3 are the first of many I'll be making.

Speckled Egg Sachets

These little crocheted eggs are made of merino wool yarn and filled with a mixture of lavender and chamomile flowers. They come in sets of 3 and have a speckled egg stamped cotton bag to hold them in. These will make such a sweet addition to Easter baskets.

Mossy Easter Pots

From the start of this collection I had Easter baskets in mind. As I mulled this over, thinking of things to make that would go inside Easter baskets, I kept pondering and came the conclusion that I also wanted make my own version of an Easter basket. But, why a 'basket'? Let's so Easter pots instead!

These pots are made of cotton canvas that I hand dyed to resemble weathered ceramic pots. I made them in two sizes, the small one pictured here and a slightly, more standard Easter basket sized one that I'm still finishing.

I have adorned each with moss & lichen embroidery. Each of the 5 pots I'll have available are unique. They really do look like weathered pots that have been left out in the rain for years, exactly what I was going for.

So this is my Easter collection. Vibrant, earthy and crafty.

Be sure to set your alarm April 1st at 12:00pm PT if you see anything here you really hope to call your own.
